Working with ‘City of Trees’

Our Director of Operations took some time out from the office in March to volunteer her time with ‘City of Trees’.

Abi was joined by her son, Arlo, who’s five and is already incredibly passionate about giving back to the local environment and doing what we can to support our planet.

Arlo’s love for the film ‘Lorex’ means he’s taken to giving himself the name of ‘Tree Guardian’ and took to his role on the day with great engagement in his task and leadership skills, helping to find new planting spots for more trees in the area where we were working.

This piece of land in Platt Bridge will become a woodland providing some much needed habitat for our wildlife.

In our line of work at Kenyon Cutters Limited – we do what we can to focus on conservation of trees – so tree health and maintenance. Unfortunately it’s not always possible and trees do need to be removed. Working with a charity such as this means we can balance out our impact on the environment and do our best to replant trees.

‘We had a great day working with the City of Trees’ team and the sun even made an appearance – a lovely, wholesome day and so nice to feel like we are supporting wildlife by helping to create natural habitat – we look forward to joining regular tree planting days with City of Trees.
